For today's edition of "How To Tuesday" design team member Ginnifer Maloney shows us how to make decorative pins using Pebbles chips. Here's what Ginnifer had to say ... "Pebbles Chips come with so many shapes, size, and colors in the package the possibilities for projects are endless. Smaller sizes within the packages are perfect for making your own decorative pins that can be used in scrapbooking and card making."
All you will need is some decorative pins, or hat pins, or pins used for sewing. You will be cutting off the tip with the decoration or ball on it for each pin you make. They are easily cut off with wire cutters, or if you don't have wire cutters nail clippers will work too!
After you have your pins ready, choose your desired chip pieces and separate the chip layers so you will be able to slide the pin between those layers.
Add some liquid glue inside the layers and add your pin, then close the layers back up over the pin. Hold it shut for a few seconds or more, depending on the glue brand you used, and your end result should look like these:
You can get creative and add some crackle medium gloss over the chip and you will get a look like this:
My favorite way to add to the pins is to use Glossy Accents over top and stick in a Candy Dot for flower centers and get results like this:
Once your pins are dry use them to decorate your scrapbook layouts or cards! They're very addicting and a lot of fun to make!
