Short for time but still want to get crafty? Then join us for another day of "Whip It Up Wednesday" where some of our design team members show you how to create gorgeous layouts and cards in less than 30 minutes.
First up is design team member Amy Sorro who shows us how to make the most of the new Pebbles 3x3 cards included in each of our newest collections. Here's what Amy had to say ... "I used the 3x3 cards to make gift tags - I just spruced them up a bit with some Glitter Candy Dots, Pebbles Chips and Rub Ons. All three took me less than thirty minutes, a great way to say thank you to a friend!"

Design team member Cherie Nymeyer created this sweet layout about her new baby boy. Here's what Cherie had to say ... "I've never really timed myself on how long it takes to scrapbook a page so it was interesting trying to actually create something with a specific time frame. I figured the best bet was to pick only a few items and limit myself to only those items!"

Design team member Susan Dupre created this adorable shadow box in no time at all! Here's what Susan had to say ... "This shadow box was super easy and quick to make! All I did was cut my Lil Miss patterned paper to fit the back of my shadow box and glued it down inking and distressing the edges before doing so. Next I distressed a piece of corrugated cardboard and glued this down in the middle. After that I ripped and distressed a pieced of an old book paged just a little bit smaller than the cardboard piece. I then glued this on top of the cardboard. Now attached a bird's nest to the middle. You can get a bird's nest at almost any craft store. This would be a quick and easy gift to give someone or you could use it in your own home."

How To Tuesday
It's "How To Tuesday" here on the Pebbles blog and design team member Lisa Warren has put together a tutorial about doodling! Doodling is such a fun (and easy!) way to add a little bit of detail and character to your scrapbook layouts and cards and Lisa makes it easy with her step by step instructions. Here's what Lisa had to say ... "More often than not, I don't feel my projects are complete unless there is a little freehand doodling thrown in. Doodling is so easy to do and a really economical way to lift your project to the next level. Although this layout was perfectly ok, I felt it just needed that little something extra to finish it off."
I started by adding a double line along the edges of the leaves to add more definition.
Then, I traced around the edge of the "hello" sticker. The word sticker was looking a little lost on my layout, and now with the outline, it really pops off the page!
I also added a pale grey border to the edge of the yellow square. My layout is looking more like I want it to...but not quite.
To finish my layout, I have added a chocolate brown border approximately 1/2inch in from the edge. I prefer to draw my lines freehand, but you could use a ruler. To compensate for any crooked lines, I doodle the lines twice. That way they become a design feature and not an error. I find that the quicker the line is doodled, the better it looks. Here's my finished layout...
There are loads of ways you can add doodling, from adding a freehand title, drawing images, or lines. Here's some examples of my favourite doodling techniques.
Why not try out doodling on your next project? I guarantee you'll love the look, and you'll inject a little more fun into your scrapbooking!

Design team member Suzanne Sergi created this amazing tri-fold card for her husband for Father's Day complete with photos of their family. Here's what Suzanne had to say ... "I wanted to create a card for my husband, that included snapshots of our sweet kids. I decided to use the Treehouse collection due to its bold and bright colors. I simply created a fold out card, so after he read the sentiment, it would reveal the three snapshots tucked inside. This collection is so full of color that it really does not need many embellishments. This card took me about thirty minutes to complete, but I know my husband will treasure it for a long time."

In anticipation of Father's Day this coming weekend I've asked some of our design team members to create projects to inspire you to celebrate the fathers in your life.
Design team member Liz Qualman created this cheery layout about her husband's love for hiking. Here's what Liz had to say ... "My husband loves to hike, so for Father's Day I created this layout of he and my daughter doing some trail blazing. The Tree House collection was the perfect color palette for the gorgeous Rocky Mountain scenery. I've been working more on getting my photos to stand out more from the page and have backed them all with chipboard to make them pop. I also place the largest photo just a little off center to add interest to the blocked style of the layout. I adore the little Tree House Chips and thought the owl and dragnofly were the perfect finishing touch to the project."

Free For All Friday
Whew! Anyone else happy it's Friday? Well here are a few Pebbles projects to get you inspired for the weekend.
First up is this beautiful layout by design team member Lisa Johnson. Now you would never know by looking at this layout but Lisa does not consider herself a scrapbooker. I say she reconsiders - seriously! ;) Here's what Lisa had to say ""I so enjoy the sweet, bright patterns in the Twitterpated collection. They are perfect companions to spring and summer photos. Even though the tulips in the photo aren't pink, the pink patterned paper pulls that tone out, making it even more cheery! I also enjoy the scale of the pattens. This makes it easy for me to add stamped images to my projects!"
Pebbles supplies used:
Twitterpated Giddy (751005)
Twitterpated Admire (751006)
Twitterpated Sweetheart (751010)

Design team member Pam Callaghan created two amazing layouts for us today. Her first layout shows you a creative way to use the Pebbles Snapshot Stickers on your layout. Here's what Pam had to say ... "I wanted to create a fun eye catching design of my son's soccer photos. I decided to go with this circular design and the Pebbles Tree House collection was just perfect for my page! I was also inspired by the Pebbles Soccer Snapshot Stickers and I used one of the stickers as part of my title. It looks like real soccer photos I would have taken and the "go" was already cut out for me!"

Pam's second layout utilizes such a fun design! Here's what Pam had to say ... "This page was so much fun to create. I knew that the Pebbles May Bouquet collection would really enhance my photos. I love the bright colors and fun florals in this collection. For my layout, I went with a fun sun burst design with circle journaling and layered the Pebbles paper over the sun! I finished off my page with some Pebbles paper flower, hand-cut clouds, and butterflies!"

"Since we are moving I decided to make something for my daughter's room in our new home. Her room is pink and green Shabby Chic so I wanted something to go with that. I made a quilt like pattern with the Twitterpated papers, then did a slight white wash to tone down the color just a bit. Finally we have this stunning butterfly collage from design team member Suzanne Sergi. Here's what Suzanne had to say ... "When I saw this frame at a local store, I knew I wanted to utilize it for our home decor challenge. I love finding new ways to alter frames of all sizes. I was inspired by two things for this project. One was my scallop butterfly on my Pebbles "butterfly kisses" layout and the other was the stunning project, Embellished Paper Doily, by Christine Middlecamp. I combined my love for butterflies to create this collage for my niece. The colors of the Twiiterpated Collection coordinate with her room decor perfectly. Mix & Match Monday
Hey everyone! I hope you all had a great weekend. Today on the Pebbles blog is "Mix & Match Monday" where our talented design team shows you how to mix it up with Pebbles by using several different collections on one project.
First up is design team member Mimi Leinbach who created this stunning layout of her son riding his horse (and how cool is it that he rides horses like that?!?). Here's what Mimi had to say ... "I love watching my son Jack ride. He exudes pure happiness when he is around horses. On this day he wore a sunny yellow shirt that matched both the Tree House and the Downtown collections ... this gave me the perfect opportunity to show off his sunny disposition when riding."
Pebbles supplies used:
Tree House Merriment (751028)
Tree House Bliss (751033)
Tree House PP Sunset (751029)
Downtown Central Park (50922)
Downtown Broadway (50924)
Downtown Times Square (50925)
Tree House Journaling Stickers (732011)
Tree House Chips (744114)
Red Candy Dots (44203)
Other supplies used:
Cardstock (American Crafts and Recollections)
Pen (Le Pen Marvy)
Alphabet (American Crafts)
Design team member Mireille Divjak created this bright and cheerful layout using several of our collections. Here's what Mireille had to say ... "My daughter Amber wanted a "scrapclub" for her and her friends on a Wednesday afternoon. Of course part of the "party" was taking pictures together.
When I was printing those pictures for them I noticed how fun all these pictures were on my contact sheet. I couldn't choose which one was cuter so I printed out an extra contact sheet for myself to scrap.
So many pictures make a pretty busy project. I chose to keep the "extras" on my page to a minimum. Using the beautiful flowery Melody paper made me look for a more calm paper to go with it. I thought the blue striped reversed side of the bot paper was exactly what I was looking for. When I was going for ribbon I saw the pretty charm that holds the ribbon rolls together and I had to use that too."
Pebbles supplies used:

Design team member Samantha Sibbet created this fun card using our three newest collections - Twitterpated, May Bouquet, and Tree House. Here's what Samantha had to say ... "It's easy to get creative with these 3 collections from Pebbles. Since they coordinate so nicely together, I find that I have a lot of great options when I start putting papers together for a project that I want to work on. I think the new brads from Pebbles are fabulous, both the metal and the epoxy brads added a finished look to my card."
