The colors and patterns are bold and yet classic. I've been hoarding these photos of my new nephew and I'm super happy with how this layout turned out. Design team member Suzanne Sergi created this sweet congratulations card. Here's what Suzanne had to say ... "The New Arrival Boy collection is the perfect palette for welcoming a newborn into the world! With many sentiments to choose from, the 3x3 cards are wonderful additions to the paper line. They can be used as a quick premade card for a gift, or simply cut, to use the sentiment on a card itself. The embossed paper is one of my favorites this year. I love the blue, and brown polka dot combination! I added one of the felt stars to the card, and added a stick pin. To add the finishing detail, I added small flowers to the top of the pin! Do not forget about the wonderful manufacturer strips on the bottom of the Pebbles papers. They include an easy way to create borders on your projects with a sentiment, or other miniature designs!"

Design team member Eva Pizarro created this truly adorable mobile using the New Arrival Boy collection. Here's what Eva had to say ... "The New Arrival Boy collection is so cute. When I saw the line I immediately was inspired by the designs on the papers and knew I wanted to make a baby mobile. This mobile was so much fun to make! I cut 2 pieces of each shape, put some batting inside and then I sewed the two pieces together. After that I embellished each piece with flowers, rub ons and felt embellishments."

Design team member Wendy Sue Anderson demonstrates the flexibility of this collection by using it to scrapbook a recent family outing. Here's what Wendy Sue had to say ... "It's not that I don't have a bazillion and one baby boy photos I could scrapbook with this cute new collection ... but when I saw that super cute whale all I could think about was our trip to Disneyland last year. My middle boy is super cautious and doesn't like to step out of his comfort zone, and true-to-form, when he saw that we were going to be "swallowed by a whale" while on our little boat ride through Storybook Land, he was less than calm. Luckily, he didn't see it coming until we were almost there, and then it was over quickly - so he calmed down and we enjoyed the rest of our ride."

More Projects with Guiseppa, Natalie, and Stephanie
Design team member Guiseppa Gubler created this sweet pocket card. Here's what Guiseppa had to say ... "I love creating unique cards, so I did a search in my Silhouette to find a cute card perfect for this New Arrival Boy collection and found this pocket card. The outside of the card is an envelope and then the inside is the card. Put a little note or saying inside and make it personal. The cute felt star embellishment made for a perfect touch. I also popped up the title of the card for added dimension."

"A friend of mine is due to give birth in the next few weeks and while we don't know what kind she's having, I made this baby boy card because I'm secretly hoping she'll have a boy! The New Arrival Boy collection is absolutely perfect for making cards welcoming baby boys with its soft colour pallete and super cute paper and embellishments. I cut out a window in the front of the card and placed one half of one of the 3x3 cards behind it using dimensional adhesive to make it pop, which I think adds a special something to an otherwise simple card. I finished it off by adding 3 metal star brads to the stars on the 3x3 card."

Happy Monday everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. This week on the blog we will be sharing lots of "snips & snails" projects created with our New Arrival Boy collection that debuted at the CHA Summer 2010 show. More Projects with Sarah and Melinda plus a GIVEAWAY!
Design team member Melinda Spinks knocked my socks off with this stunning layout. Here's what Melinda had to say ... "I had been asked by a friend to scrap a layout for her sister who had recently given birth to their very first and long awaited little girl Lily. So, as soon as I saw the New Arrival collection I knew it would be perfect for this very occasion. The colour palette was so dreamy in pastel pinks that I didn't need to do a lot with the layout as the product was going to speak for itself. However, in a moment of madness I decided to do the entire background in tiny punched flowers which seemed like such a good idea at the time! And how gorgeous are the New Arrival felt embellishment flowers, will definitely be using these again and again!"

I am in love with this line! :D I decided to keep the design fairly simple to give the patterned papers the focus they truly deserve. This collection is such a joy to work with and I simply can not stop creating with these amazing products."

Sugar & Spice
Happy Monday everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. This week on the blog we will be sharing lots of "sugar & spice" projects created with our New Arrival Girl collection that debuted at the CHA Summer 2010 show. But before we get started I first wanted to take the opportunity to thank everyone who posted comments last week on our Candy Dots Giveaway. I read each and every one of them and loved all of the fabulous ideas for expanding the Pebbles Candy Dots collection. And of course I have a winner to announce as well! The winner is ...
Congratulations Kristen! Please email your full name and mailing information to pebblesincdt(at)gmail(dot)com and put "Candy Dots Winner" in the subject line. And now for a little "sugar & spice" projects!
Design team member Deena Wuest created this super sweet keepsake tin. Here's what Deena had to say ... "I recycled a large cookie tin to use as a keepsake box that holds this sweet little girl's birthday present. How cute are those felt flowers? They make you *look* creative when actually all the work has been done for you (shhh). I replaced the "o" in her name with the felt, then cut apart an "I love you" sentiment and rubbed it on the chipboard banner. Layer a border sticker under a chocolate ribbon and you're done. Sweet, simple and super fast!"

Product Parade: Candy Dots plus a GIVEAWAY!
Hey everyone! Today we are focusing on one of my favorite Pebbles products ... Candy Dots! No more poking holes in your projects. These self-adhesive embellishments are perfect to be used in place of brads, eyelets and buttons. Candy Dots are available in our classic finish as well as newly added glitter and pearl finishes, and they coordinate perfectly with Pebbles Chips and Ribbon.
Design team member Eva Pizarro used Candy Dots in so many clever ways. Here's what Eva had to say ... "Candy dots are really great. I love how you can use them for some many things! On my layout I used tons of candy dots (and I didn't even finish them all!), I used them as the center of my flower, to embellish a chipboard accent, to create the heart on my title and to add little accents to the corner of the page. They are glittered too so that gives a nice touch to your layout."

Design team member Mimi Leinbach used Candy Dots to add bright pops of color to her fun layout. Here's what Mimi had to say ... "For this layout since I was talking about the subject of art I wanted to mix it up a bit. I went with some "non-matching" colors and a bold pop of red. With the photos being so colorful it seemed to pull all the colors together. These are definitely not colors I would typically put together but it works so I went with it ... after all there is no wrong way to do art. I love the row of glitter candy dots, they add that extra little pizazz."

Design team member Stephanie Baxter embellished this sweet bookmark using rows of Candy Dots. Here's what Stephanie had to say ... "I absolutely love reading but always seem to be grabbing any old scrap of paper I can find to keep my place in a book, so I thought it was about time I made myself a pretty bookmark! I wanted to use as many different Tree House papers as I could because I just love the patterns! I cut small squares of several different papers for the background, added the chipboard owl (how cute is he?!), and adhered the ribbon to the bottom of the paper. Then I went to town with the Candy Dots! They add such a special touch to a project, don't you think?"

Then I went to town with the Candy Dots! They add such a special touch to a project, don't you think?"

How To Tuesday
For today's "How To Tuesday" post design team member Ginger Williams demonstrates one of her favorite techniques for making paper flowers. Here's what Ginger had to say ... "I love to make paper flowers! There are so many fun and different ways to create them and I love coming up with different types! Today I'm going to show you how to make a paper sunflower. Sunflowers aways remind me of fall and it just seemed like the perfect project now that the weather is starting to turn chilly and crisp here in Texas."
The first step is to punch or cut some circle. I used a 1 3/4" circle punch on my flower. Punch one from brown patterned paper and one from yellow.
Cut the brown circle into a spiral.
Fold the edges of the spiral in half.
Curl the folded edges of the spiral up to form the flower center. Glue down with hot glue to help the flower center to stay very secure.
Glue the flower center into the middle of the yellow circle.
Clip the edges of the yellow circle all around the brown flower center to form the petals.
Repeat all steps 2 more times to make 3 total flowers. Lay out your card base.
Hand cut stems and leaves for your flowers and adhere to the front of your card.
Add a strip of paper across the bottom of the card and add Candy Dots.
Cut a sentiment for the card. I used my Cricut to cut my sentiment out of cardstock.
Add to card and enjoy!
Pebbles supplies used:
Tree House Fun (751035)
Tree House Trunk (751034)
Tree House Merriment (751028)
Red Glitter Candy Dots (744228)
Other supplies used:
