How To Tuesday

“I’ve found that the world of scrapbooking is full of super kind people who like to send you goodies randomly, do giveaways on their blogs, and other such things. I like to send a little something back in return and I always think that something handmade is always a nice gesture to send to somebody. Using some Sunnyside goodies and Candy Dots, I’ve come up with a fun ‘thank you’ gift in the form of a set of handmade embellishments that are super simple to make.”  - Steph Baxter, Pebbles Design Team Member

To begin, punch some circles of patterned paper from your favourite Pebbles papers (I used the Sunnyside 6x6 pad – it’s so useful for projects like this!).

Mark the centre of each circle with a pencil.

Cut each circle into a starburst shape by snipping pieces of it away. You will need to cut just before the centre of the circle, so this is where those pencil marks come in handy.

Add a Candy Dot to the centre of each cut shape.

Adhere the embellishments to a piece of cardstock using a light, removable adhesive.

Add a ‘thank you’ Masking Tape Sticker and Clothes Pin from the Sunnyside collection.

Mix & Match Monday

It's Monday again, which means we'll be mixing and matching some Pebbles products to show you just how well our collections can be used with one another.

"For this week’s Mix and Match challenge I decided to combine 2 of my favorite Pebbles Collection, Sunnysde and Hip Hip Hooray. "You can never have too many thank you cards on hand. And the Sunnyside line is perfect for making some bright & cheerful ones! To make these cards I used the Sunnyside 6x6 paper pad for the background patterned papers.  I love the smaller patterns for my cards! Then I cut the sentiments out of the cute "From Me to You" sheet. You can get a lot of sentiments for cards using that one sheet of patterned paper! On the "Thanks a bunch" card I added a couple dimensional flowers to embellish it. Then on the "Thank you" card, I cut flowers out of the "Blossoms" sheet to embellish around it. "For this simple, summery card set I layered elements from the Sunnyside collection with some small kraft envelopes from New Addition. I stuck with the aqua/green patterns from the 6 x 6 paper pad for my card bases (the smaller scale of the patters in the 6 x 6 pad are perfect for card making!). Theme: CARDS

The theme this week on the Pebbles blog is cards.  I've asked some of our design team members to create cards using their favorite Pebbles products.

"I love making cards in sets of 2 or 3.  Once you have the supplies pulled out to create one card, I figure you may as well do a few more … after all, all the coordinating items are already at your fingertips and if you use a similar design for the cards they really go together quickly!  I made this set of cards with only a few supplies and I love how they turned out.  The “From Me To You” paper has so many great options available for card-making, matched up with the 6x6 pad and a few simple embellishments, I know I could have made a dozen cards and still had plenty of supplies to make more!"  - Wendy Sue Anderson, Pebbles Design Team Member

Whip It Up Wednesday

"My sister is expecting her first baby (a boy) in August and for her recent baby shower, I created a baby boy gift ensemble using the New Addition Boy collection that could double as shower decorations and nursery decor. And the best part? Each project was very quick and easy to put together! For the printer's tray, I cut the patterned paper to fit the inside and then kept the embellishment simple using the border stickers, dimensional phrases & icons stickers and layered embellishments. All my sister has to do is add a few photos of her new baby boy! The card I created was also simple - just punch squares of patterned paper and arrange. Tie a ribbon around the front and add a dimensional sticker. Finally, I also created a piece of nursery decor that also was a table centerpiece at the shower. I covered the wooden "flower pots" with patterned paper and dry brushed them with white paint. The dowels were painted brown, floral foam in the pots and moss covering them. I punched circles of patterned paper and used corrugated alphabet stickers to spell out "Baby". The circles were hot glued to the dowels and then ribbon tied to the dowels."  - Jill Cornell, Pebbles Design Team Member

I whipped up 2 simple cards for friends with this line and with the sentiment squares paper and 6x6 paper pad they came together very quickly.
