Whip It Up Wednesday

"I love the phrase cards that Pebbles has come out with in these new releases.  They lend themselves to both titles, journaling and embellishments, which is exactly what I did in this layout that I created very quickly.  I started with a large photo and just used a large banner effect along the bottom with the phrase cards and tags.  Very simple and easy to create!"  - Christa Paustenbaugh, Pebbles Design Team Member

How To Tuesday

"Originally when I was trying to decide what to do for this week's "How To," I was going to sew together a fun little minibook about our Halloween costumes.  But, when I got my box from Pebbles last week, it contained a couple of their new 4x6 "o'flip" albums.  So, I thought instead of making an album from scratch, I would demonstrate how easy these albums are to put together!  This mini book challenged girl thought it was ridiculously easy!"  - Mandie Pierce, Pebbles Design Team Member

You will want to start by taking the posts apart on the back of the album.  Also, there is a clear proctective film on the covers of the album; so be sure peel those off.

Make your cover and the first page.  And then adhere them together, back to back.  When you are making the back side, keep in mind that a small amount of the page will be covered on the right hand side.  (I did not take this into account on the first page I did!)

Peel the strip off and adhere the page.  Simple as that!  Easy peasy!  Make the rest of your pages and assemble just like that into your book.  When you are done, put them all together on the posts with the covers, and screw the posts back together.  Done.  So flippin' simple! ;)

More Tricks and Treats Projects with Kim and Tiffany

“For my projects today, I concentrated on the treats part of our new Tricks and Treats collection. And, of course, candy corn is high on my list of favorite treats. (It’s terribly addicting, isn’t it?) The cups were dollar store purchases, I just added some paper and stickers. I also decorated some bottles of soda – my kids were so excited to see these!"  - Kim Kesti, Pebbles Design Team Member

"Halloween is my absolute favorite holiday, and I got so excited when I first saw "Tricks & Treats."  The colors are perfect, and the patterns are trendy, and the cute stickers and embellishments make it so easy to create cute pages.  This is my darling daughter in her candy witch costume. She was so excited to put it on and to wave her candy corn "wand" and "get us."  I think she makes the cutest little witch!"  - Tiffany Hood, Pebbles Design Team Member

More Tricks and Treats Projects with Wendy and Nicole

"Although the Tricks and Treats line is obviously Halloween themed, there are a lot of great patterns and colours that are perfect for other occasions too. I used lots of small pieces from the 6x6 paper pad to add a great deal of the different patterns in the collection, without my page being too Halloween looking. I also used a lot of the edge pieces from the bottom of the Tricks and Treats 12x12 papers as well instead of having them go to waste! I love it when you can stretch a collection for whatever occasion you need it to be!"  - Nicole Nowosad, Pebbles Design Team Member

"I love putting yummy treats in a cute container to share with neighbors and friends (or, in this case, my boys' teachers).  Halloween is the perfect opportunity to share some sweet goodies in these cute little milk jars.  Dressing them up with some fun patterned papers and stickers is the perfect way to add a handmade touch a store-bought treat. :)  I cut the little labels for my jars from the label sheet in the 6x6 pad - they are the perfect mini-size for these little jars...and the stickers just happened to be the perfect size to place on the lids too, I love it when things like that happen!  Happy Halloween!"  - Wendy Sue Anderson, Pebbles Design Team Member

More Tricks and Treats Projects with Laura and Kathy

"Eek! Tricks and Treats is a real treat for Halloween paper crafts! I love how Pebbles makes it so easy with the Rotten Rd. paper to make a bunch of Halloween cards in no time at all! I simply used a circle punch to make accents from the Witchy Ln. paper and added some stitching. It’s that easy!"  - Kathy Martin, Pebbles Design Team Member

"The Tricks and Treats collection is SO adorable! If you're like me and you have young children, then this line is just perfect for your projects. It's scary, but not too scary of a collection. For quite awhile now, I have been wanting to make a mini album of all the cute Halloween costumes my girls have worn throughout the years. This collection combined with the O'Fl!p Album made it a fast, easy, and fun way to get it done. I cannot wait to add two more pages to my album after this Halloween. Caitie will be Princess Belle from Disney's Beauty and the Beast and Payton will be Princess Merida from Disney-Pixar's Brave. I finally get two princesses this year! Happy Halloween, Everyone!" - Renee Zwirek, Pebbles Design Team Member

Product Focus: Tricks and Treats

With Halloween just a week away it seems only appropriate to focus on our fun new Halloween line, Tricks and Treats.  Put on your cutest costume and start the trick-or-treat feast with Tricks and Treats. Adorable pumpkins, spiders, ghosts and other All Hallows’ Eve friends play in a warm palette of yellow, orange, green, black and purple. Time to celebrate frightful fun!

"The story of my daughter's Halloween costume decision-making-process this year was very cute and I knew I wanted to tell that story on a layout. On the night she was making her decision, she was not in the mood to pose for a photo, but my husband caught a pretty cute one of her as she was bouncing around. Unfortunately, he took it with his cell phone, at a weird angle, and in poor lighting. She looks adorable regardless, so I decided to use the photo as a support to the story rather than as the main element. By using glitter foam Thickers, I was able to elevate the importance of key words in the story and then had fun embellishing with a variety of bits of patterned paper, stickers, and chipboard printed Thickers."  - Vivian Masket, Pebbles Design Team Member

"I'm sending these pillow boxes to my nieces for Halloween; they live in Texas, and I don't get to see them very often.  I wanted to send them something fun, a treat, but not candy.  When I came across these Halloween necklace kits at the craft store I knew they'd be perfect!  I used my Cameo to cut the pillow boxes and labels.  I then embellished each box very simply.  I made a tag for one and decorated it with a sticker.  I then added that adorable little spider to the box (the only kind of adorable spider is one made from paper!).  For the other box, I made a rosette and topped it with a sticker from the Phrase and Accent Sticker sheet.  Both boxes are tied with black twine.  I hope they enjoy their gifts and have as much fun with their Halloween treat boxes as I did making them!"  - Donna Jannuzzi, Pebbles Design Team Member
