"What better way to celebrate this wonderful, new Family Ties collection than with projects for a family members birthday!? Today is my Mom's Birthday! I made a fun layout using the Family Ties collection with photos taken on Mother's Day. My girls and their little cousin are running to Grandma for a big hug. I feel bad that they almost tackled her to the ground. Ha! We had such a fun day together. I, also, made two birthday cards ... one to give to my Mom from my hubby and I and the other from my girls. I used lots of flowers and green throughout these projects, because my Mom has an amazing "green thumb" and her favorite color is this pretty leaf green. "This new line is adorable!  I love the shades of blue (blue is my favorite color!) and yellow.  It's such a great color combination.  I'm also excited to see the journaling card & phrase card pads again.  These are one of my favorite new products from Pebbles.  We snapped this family photo at the beach in Carmel by the Sea.  We went to a friend's wedding celebration there a couple of weeks ago.  This beach is directly behind one of the cabins they rented.  (Can I move there?  PLEASE?!) "Isn't it funny how one tiny little stamp can inspire an idea for a whole 12x12 page?  That's just what happened to me when I first saw the banner style stamps from the new Family Ties collection.  The
'family' and 'cousins' word stamps were the first to catch my eye and remind me of some sweet photos I had not yet scrapped, of my son and his cousin a few years back.  I just love how these stamps look stamped on white paper, cut out, and attached to a little wooden stick.  They make for a fun and dimensional accessory to the page."  - Jaclyn Rench, Pebbles Design Team Member

"Thanksgiving is always a hectic time for us, filled with travel and cooking and lots of family activities. I rarely manage to capture the holiday on film or in writing. This year, I am determined to do better! I created this "Many Thanks" album to help me document the holiday. Along the lines of the popular December Daily album tradition, I've created pre-made pages that are holiday-themed, many of which are designed to hold journaling. The pages feature a mix of products, including shapes die cut from patterned paper. My plan is to collect thoughts and pictures as I go during the holiday and use them to complete this album, interspersing my pre-made pages and 4" X 6" photos in the 25-page O'flip Flip Book Album. Theme: I'm Grateful for ...

"I realize it sounds slightly cliche to say that the number one thing I am thankful for is my family, but really ... they are amazing. Every day I look at my husband and my children, and I can't believe how incredibly blessed I am.  We've been trying to take more family photos lately.  These were taken one day last month when we were helping my in-laws clean up the leaves in their lawn. "Again, I headed to the cards to see if I could find one that went with these pictures of me and my baby.  I mixed papers from the Seen and Noted and Walnut Grove lines (Pebbles makes it so easy to mix their lines) on this layout.  I really love the amazing embellishments that Pebbles creates with each of their lines.  On this layout I used two of my favorites, the large tag and the 3D banner."

American Crafts Warehouse Sale - Location change

For those of you in Utah, because we were unable to secure the lease on the building at the Provo Shops at Riverwoods (our fault, not theirs) we are canceling the sale at that second location. We are truly sorry for the mix-up and invite you to visit us at our West Jordan location in Jordan Landing, 7378 Plaza Center Drive. The sale will be going strong there in West Jordan starting today and going through December 30.

Sketchy Thursday

For today's edition of "Sketchy Thursday" we asked some of our design team members to create a project based on this *exclusive* sketch by Becky Fleck.

"I usually do 8.5 x 11 layouts and was having trouble with the sketch for some reason. I decided to just turn my layout on its side and do an 11 x 8.5 instead. I have an album started with this orientation already so i thought, Why not?  It worked out much better this way for me.  I really enjoy scrapping this size but I tend to forget the option. I will be using it more in the future and filling up my empty scrapbook."  - Shawna Webster, Pebbles Design Team Member

American Crafts Annual Warehouse Sale

"When I am caught for time, one of my favorite ways to get a layout completed very quickly is to grab a neutral paper and my scraps of Pebbles papers. I cut some varying sizes and shapes of paper from a few different lines and pieced them together on the page. The stickers in the Seen & Noted and Walnut Grove lines make it easy to add some pattern and dimension. I cut a title out with some Walnut Grove paper and voila all done in a short period of time. So, think twice before throwing away those little scraps of paper!"  - Nicole Nowosad, Pebbles Design Team Member
