More Basics Projects with Donna and Emily

"Color is a huge inspiration for me in my scrapbooking.  So when I first saw the sneaks for this collection on the blog last month, I fell in love immediately.  I wanted to do something fun with all of of the colors in this collection and play with them a bit, but still stay true to my style.  I decided to cut the star pattern on this page with my Silhouette and then use different colors and patterns to back the empty spaces in some of the stars.  On the right-hand side of the page I used the Honeycomb Mini Dot paper; yellow is my current favorite color and it offset the blue my son is wearing in the photos very nicely.  I was so pleased with how this turned out, it is fun and bright, and yes, colorful!"  - Donna Jannuzzi, Pebbles Design Team Member

"I am in love with all the fun colors and patterns in the new Basics line. I knew I wanted to use them all in some sort of a rainbow on my page, but I was a little too greedy to use up my big pieces of paper!! I don’t often make cards, so I decided to use the Cardmaker Pads to make my triangles. I cut each with a square punch and then cut the square in half to make the triangles.  I wanted the layout to have an “imperfect” look to it, so I only outlined a few of them, and I didn’t bother aligning them perfectly."  - Emily Spahn, Pebbles Design Team Member
